This month, Federico Campoli will be giving a talk on Postgresql and some of the new features introduced in v9.4. Last month we saw talks on the subjects of DNS Hijacking and Captive Portals[1]. There was turn out from ex-Pavilion and Brighton based FreeBSD folk, which was cool. If anyone would look to give a talk on something systems or network related, we're currently looking for speakers at the June meeting. Hopefully see you at The Skiff. http://www.theskiff.org/contact/ Sevan / Venture37 [1] https://www.geeklan.co.uk/?p=1881 From jasper at pointless.net Sun May 10 12:21:22 2015 From: jasper at pointless.net (Jasper Wallace) Date: Sun, 10 May 2015 12:21:22 +0100 (BST) Subject: [Ukfreebsd] 2 x Sun Netra T1's for free, London, UK Message-ID: Hi, I'm hopeing to find a new home for 2 Sun Netra T1's, they are in London Hackspace (E2 9DY) on Hackney road near Cambridge Heath station, specs: 1st: Netra t1 (UltraSPARC-IIi 440MHz) 512 MB ram 2nd: Netra T1 200 (UltraSPARC-IIe 500MHz) 1Gb ram There are 4 x 17Gb drives and 2 x 36Gb drives with them, the 36Gb drives might be dodgey, but they where happy when i dd'd /dev/zero over them... Not wishing to hijack Jasper's post, merely seizing an opportunity - but make that three - I've also got a Netra T1 200 sitting around doing nothing. 512MB RAM, CD drive, 2x Seagate 18GB SCSI drives. Collection from SE1. Likewise contact off-list if interested. It's not like you're trying to shift some generic Gateway PCs with Windows 95 on them - they're relatively rare machines. In either case, I'm sure none of you would, but I'll reiterate the point: please do not let these machines go into landfill - please make sure they go to a recycling centre. The materials inside them should never be put into the ground, even if all that ground becomes for several hundred years after is a golf course.
