Router recommendations for FreeBSD

Hi  all,
  
 I'm using  FreeBSD as my home desktop and dial-up for interweb and email; I've decided it's  time to go "broadband" ...
hi I am a sipmple user,
I have speedtouch  [alcatel]
connected through ethernet.
it has comments inside the manual [ about this modem]

you can use it with 'ppp',  if  you set  it to bridge  [this is a hint , if you want to set ftp. ] thats only what i know.

for whireless , i think that you have to set it through ethernetm and then try wireless.
