  Subject: Sendmail and AD DNS

I've just installed 6.2 into a windows 2003 AD network and sendmail keeps
giving a host not found error when sending mail.

Dig returns the MX records correctly, ping works fine to any host both
internal and external. Adding an entry in the hosts file and altering the
resolution order makes no difference, creating a mailertable entry also
fails to resolve the issue.

The only work around I've found is to remove all references to the DNS
servers and have the mailertable determine delivery based on the host file.

This is a horrible kludge and I'm not keen on leaving it like this as it
will cause problems in the future when someone else alters/replaces/adds
servers.

  Anyone got any ideas??????????

  TIA

  Kevin
