Hi
Has anyone managed to get the above combination to work, and if so: can
I be your friend, please?
I'm going bonkers trying to figure this one out, and I'm seriously
getting nowhere with it.
Or even just managed to get the speedtouch usb modem thingy to work in
FreeBSD at all. I can't work it out.
I don't really understand what /var/log/modem-run.log is telling me, for
instance. How am I supposed to know if I have the right firmware? All it
says is:
May 19 17:58:21 tobermory modem_run[8556]: modem_run version 1.3.1
started by root uid 0
Does that mean it's got the firmware, or what?
ppp.conf is telling me that it doesn't even bother trying to auth, or
something:
May 19 18:08:48 tobermory ppp[8725]: tun0: Phase: deflink: login -> lcp
May 19 18:08:48 tobermory ppp[8725]: tun0: LCP: FSM: Using "deflink" as

Any help anyone could send my way would be most gratefully accepted.
Thanks.
