Just a couple of points with the url howto doc I gave earlier
Postfix: make sure its listening on 127.0.0.1
DON=92T START Clamav where the doc says but start it AFTER install of =
amavis.
Clamav uses the same user as amavis.
Hope that helps

Subject: RE: Anti virus question
Hi All,
Just found a page at http://mail.x-si.org/articles/av.html which details
quit clearly how to do a AV install for FreeBSD / Postfix using ports. I
updated my ports and went for it. Seems to be working.
This is the first email sent with my new AV setup and running so it =
should
have the relevant extra headers.
Thanks for the help

I'm currently using a tweaked version of the standard exim dodgy=20
attachment filter to divert executable attachments to my "viral" =
mailbox.
That catches just about everything leaving only the ones that would need =
the user to do a little work to unzip.
One of these days I might get around to using Exiscan but don't have =
time=20
right now and am pleased with the current setup.
