Can I just say "me too"? I've been running 5.0 on my laptop since it was
RC-something-or-other (late 2002) and it only ever let me down once.
Since it went -RELEASE, it's never given me any trouble.
I'm seriously considering 5.2 for my desktop now. On a slightly related
note, I'm about to take delivery of one of these:

so I want to know: what's the score with USB2.0 support under 5.x (or
even under 4.9)?
