Update 4.8 to 4.9 or secure

Thanks to both of you.

What's the differens between 4-STABLE and 4.9?
If I want to update to 4.9 am I right in doing something like:

cvsup the 4.8 sources
make world?
cvsup RELENG_4_9
make world (again. Is the first make world neccessary?)

Does this look ok:

*default host=cvsup3.uk.FreeBSD.org
*default base=/usr
*default prefix=/mnt/local
*default release=RELENG_4_8
*default delete use-rel-suffix

*default compress
src-all
cvsroot-all
