The problem with the spams in this list is that they originate from the 
Sobig.f worm, AFAICT. This means that someone needs to update their 
virus definitions.

Generally speaking, returning spam to the sender is probably not the 
most effective course of action. Most of the From: headers that I've 
seen are forged, meaning that the email address you return it to will 
know nothing of the origin of the mail. Envelope from headers need not 
exist at all.

Someone may however, go through the roof when they realise that a 
spammer is using their domain name as the apparent origin of spam. I 
did. Tragically, all you can effectively do is try to track down the IP 
address of the spammer from the Received: headers and report them to 
their ISP with a very nasty letter. Unless of course, you can get to 
them physically, in which case I advocate nailing them to the wall by 
their testicals, and asking them how much they want viagra now... :-/
