A lot of people find "ln" non-intuitive: the way to remember it is that it
is the same order of arguments that one would use as if one were copying
or moving the original:

  cp foo bar
  mv foo bar
  ln foo bar

all create a new filesystem object "bar" (or "bar/foo" if "bar" is a
pre-existing directory) from source "foo".
