After looking in more detail at the system I've got openssl 0.9.6a
installed in the 4.6-RELEASE base. (in /usr) and openssl 0.9.6g from ports
(in /usr/local) would it be best to uninstall the one from ports (0.9.6g)
before buildworld?
Otherwise i'll end up with 0.9.6g installed in two places? Correct me if
I'm wrong.

Hei!

Have you tried to set OPENSSLBASE to /usr/local?
In RELENG_4 openssl-0.9.6g is already in the base, so a make
buildworld
should also help.
