CAM Question

The system is a Compaq Pro Workstation 8000 (SMP) with an integrated
Symbios SCSI controller which has 4 SCSI hdd's (id 0-3), a mirai CD-RW (id
5) and an HP DAT24 (id 6) all of which are detected nicely at boot. The
CD-RW can be mounted and read with no bother, and the DAT24 is functioning
fine too.

The problem is that when trying to write to the CD-RW I get a device not
configured error.

cdrecord -scanbus pops up the 4 hdds only.

"camcontrol devlist" gives me :

<COMPAQ ST34371W 0940> at scbus0 target 0 lun 0 (pass0,da0)
<COMPAQPC DDRS-34560W S95E> at scbus0 target 1 lun 0 (pass1,da1)
<COMPAQ DFHSS4W 4141> at scbus0 target 2 lun 0 (pass2,da2)
<COMPAQ DFHSS4W 4141> at scbus0 target 3 lun 0 (pass3,da3)
<GENERIC CRD-BP4 4.28> at scbus0 target 5 lun 0 (pass4,cd0)
<HP C1537A L005> at scbus0 target 6 lun 0 (pass5,sa0)

A glance through /dev reveals only pass0 to pass3.
