Perhaps your locate database is out of date. It gets updated weekly by
the script 310.locate in /etc/periodic/weekly/. Try running it manually.
However if you just want to see where a the MySQL stuff is installed try
`pkg_info -L xxx' where xxx is the name of the package you're interested
in - pkg_info with no options should help you determine this).
