kernel install problem

I could be wrong but that looks more like -CURRENT to me, for example in the 
4 branch modules live in /modules/ and the kernel is placed in /. However 
from your sample it looks to be using the -CURRENT layout. Also, did your 
make world work? You know you can't get your world and kernel out of sync 
(well you can, but it can cause a lot of pain).
