You're missing the point. If you didn't, the 30 sudents might not turn up,
and so you wouldn't get any money from them.

The point I'm trying to make, is it's not as simple an equation as saying "X
people will turn up and pay £Y" it's more a case of "If I charge £a then I
can expect 'b' people to turn up, but if I give a discount of x% to
such-and-such a group, I met get a further 'c' people to turn up at that
discounted rate".

Anyway, it's your money on the line, not mine. It was just a suggestion to
try and improve numbers and your general turnover on the conference.
