Cheers mate!

Is there any way to increase the buffer size? or how about if I set the =
port speed to 115200 and the modem to 57200, will this help?

I have another question that you may be able to help me with. I have =
been trying to install Netscape 4.7 / 4.76 from the ports collection. I =
do a 'make all' in the port directory =
'/usr/ports/www/netscape47-navigator' The files have been fetched ok, =
all the messages seem o.k. I then begin the 'make install'=20

This has the same effect, it now has downloaded all the files it needs =
and continues to build Netscape, telling me that its patching files ect =
... and at then finally I get the message about 'if java applets don't =
display ...' yada yada, yada ... and back to my prompt.

when I run Netscape I get a message about not being able to find the =
shared library 'libXt.so.6.0'

I have also tried make deinstall / reinstall, I have set the suggested =
flags FORCE_PKG_REGISTER, and others I cant remember and even =
downloading required ports manually, but always the same message!

I have reinstalled all the binary compatables and done a 'make world'. =
At install time I installed all programs and source for BSD and X so =
everything should be there?

what is this file, where can I get it, should I use another version of =
Netscape?=20

web)'

I get those here dood. I beleive its where there is more data being =
passed to the serial port than the buffers can take. IMHO its nothing =
to worry about, I also get some ppp[pid]: phase deflink blah blah =
message from time to time and i think there just informational. They've =
never stopped me anyway from maintaining a solid dialup connection for =
well over two weeks so i guess they dont do a great deal of harm.

  Si.

    Subject: SIO KERNEL ERROR!

When I connect using PPP and begin to download a file (fetching =
ports) I get a message that repeats ...

    <date> <time> <host> /kernel : sio error, 1 or more sil0 errors =
occurred (errors : XX )

XX is just a number usually starting at 1 and obviously is the =
number of errors encountered

What is this error, how can I get rid of it. I have tried setting =
the speed of my serial ports in /etc/rc.serial to 115200 and this has =
made my downloads faster, used to be 1.5kbs, and the error is less =
frequent but still there.

    Any help appreciciated!
