My SO and I have decided to use her upcoming birthday as an excuse to host a
bbq/freebsd users group meet type thing. Anyone interested, please let me
know.

The pertinent facts:

The date: May 12th-13th

The time: Starting around 5pm on the 12th, maybe earlier, maybe later. (You
get here too early, you might have to help set up. You Have Been Warned. :)
Lasting until... whenever. Space to sleep can be provided, although it's
likely to be a bit of floor- we don't have *that* many spare beds. :)

The details:

BYOD (Bring your own drinks, that is. We're not big alcohol drinkers, so
selection is likely to be limited. We should have some soft drinks- coke,
that sort of thing. Mark Murray, who will be visiting from South Africa and
has promised to attend, has made suggestions about having a proper piss up,
so if you're into that sort of thing, come prepared. :)

BYOS/H (Bring your own switch/hub. We have a LAN made up of two 8-port
10/100 switches, which we will happily expand if people bring the relevant
bits with them. BYOC (computer) too. :)

We will supply meat (a selection of beef, pork, lamb, and chicken),
potatoes, a pudding, and possibly corn on the cob for grilling. It would be
nice if everyone who attends could bring some sort of side dish type thing
to share, to add a little variety. In addition, if you are vegetarian, you
are advised to bring something for your main course, as otherwise you may
well be offered a grilled cabbage leaf. :)

If you're planning on staying over, it would be a good idea to bring a
sleeping bag or similar items, unless you like sleeping on the floor without
a blanket or pillow, as we don't have that much in the way of spare bedding.

So come, have a good time, meet the scary unsocial soundgod, a strange guy
from south africa, and possibly who knows how many other unusual geeky
types? :)

(As this is likely to get expensive, anyone who wishes to make a monetary
contribution is welcome to do so, and we would love you for it. :)
