If this is during X configuration then it's also possible that you opted
to run xvidtune and because your virtual screen size is much larger than
the screen resolution xvidtune is actually off screen. Try moving the
mouse to the edges of the screen and see if it scrolls. If it does then
try this up and left and see if the xvidtune program appears.
