Upgrading....

I'd deinstall first, otherwise your pkg_info becomes meaningless. If
your upgrading, you needn't upgrade the packages at the same time, the
3.4 versions should continue to work just fine.

I don't know if this is common, but I halted my (usual) mass upgrade
from 3.4R -> 4.0R when one of my controllers at work decided to
spontaneously reboot within an hour of doing a clean install of 4.0R.
