I have a query regarding setting up IP aliasing on freebsd 3.2
Running linux, I would compile in the ip_alias module, and then type
ifconfig eth0:1 192.168.1.?? netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.1.255
route add -host 192.168.1.?? dev eth0:1
but BSD suggests that interface eth0:1 does not exist..
I'm not sure how to add the extra interface, or am I going about this the wrong way?
