Everybody,

Thank you very much for the help you gave me with the shell script
questions I had.

I eventually finished what I had to do (an extended rename program) and
being in the open source swing of things everyone can have a look at it in
http://ukug.freebsd.org.uk/~gary/rename/

I will put some documentation there when I finished it.
