Shell Scripting

Hi All,

This might be a little FreeBSD off-topic but I am having a scripting
problem at the moment.

I know that I can get the value of arguments passed to a script with $1,$2
etc. and that $# gives you the value of the amount of arguments.

What I really need to know is how would I get the string in the last
argument passed ?

I thought it was ${$#} but in csh this just echoed a number not a string.

Any ideas?

Regards,

Gary
