We've got 11Mhz kit running a couple of Km in Brighton, and have been
doing so for a year or so.  It's not 802.11 though, so we actually get
about 8mb's through the air :)  [802.11 requires the harris chipset to
be started and stopped far too often,  this is a major performance hit!]
