Sendmail going really slowly

Ive just done a fresh install of 4.0 then upgraded to 4.1 and I find
my Sendmail while does actualy work, it does so at a snails pace. For
example I have a simple script set up that mails me when ever some important
files change, the output is minimal yet sendmail will take about 2 mins to
process it, and, while updateing my aliases, again it took a couple of mins
to process. Its not like this box is under -any- strain, at bottom of this
mail is my dmesg output, if its any help, no idea what sendmail parts to
attach..I found it was going slow even on first boot after install, when it
got to starting daemons it appeard to hang on sendmail until it finaly
decided it was going to work and carry on booting, now it boots up ok, but
just anything to do with sendmail just takes a couple of mins. Any ideas
