Here is how to remove it
(suggested by Jen)

1) use pkg_delete to delete the package and all its parts.
2) look in /usr/local/etc/rc.d   This is the FreeBSD puts
   startup scripts which are called every time the machine boots.

   (the FreeBSD equivalent of the START folder in Windows or
    autoexec.bat for DOS)
