Bad DMI Table Checksum

Hi,

On installing FreeBSD 3.3 on a Cyrex clone system
using AMI Bios:
I get the following error during bootup and the
systems also erratically freezes or reboots doing 
things like compiling up GCC:

    Bad DMI Table Checksum

(this was also occuring with Redhat Linux as well).

Have been trying to trace down this error on the
search engines but come up with nothing.

Does anyone have any clues what this could mean? 
I am expecting a hardware problem.
