On second thoughts, I disagree with your maths:

	30 * 8 * 60 = 14400 mins == 144 UKP @ 1p per min

*but* thats for the port is it not? So if the port supports 14
users is that not 1/14th p per minute, i.e. 14400 * 14 ? Or do they
not mean 14 users for 8 hours per day? I doubt it as that would
work out at 8 / 14 * 60 = 34.29 minutes per user per day.
